A Bit of Home is a family-owned Canadian independent retailer specializing in Irish and British consumer goods. Our goal is to provide the best selection of products to expatriots as well as others who seek the quality and uniqueness from Ireland and Great Britain.
Our first sale was made in February 2002 when we launched our online store and carried a little over 100 items. In 2004 we opened our first retail location in Mississauga, Ontario when it became apparent that there were quite a number of people who preferred to shop in person as opposed to online.
Today we stock well over 2,000 different items covering the most popular packaged food products from Ireland and Britain, Celtic Jewellery, football memorabelia, books, souvenirs and giftware. A Bit of Home turned out to be the right name for our shop with the largest selection of all sorts of Irish and British goods.
A Bit of Home is a member of the North American Celtic Trade Association (NACTA). NACTA's mission is to facilitate communication among businesses involved in the Celtic market in the USA and Canada and to develop programs of value to its members and consumers.
