When Kate O'Sullivan and her family set out to steal a horse from the king's castle, they're caught red-handed and brought before the angry king. Quick as a wink, Kate makes a deal. If she can convince the king that each of them has been in a worse situation than they are at the moment, he'll let them all go free. Reluctantly, the king agrees. And with that, Kate cooks up a stew of stories - filled with imagination, wit, and a healthy helping of blarney - that would impress even the most discerning sovereign. Ages 4 to 8.
